ASB Services is a full-service parking solutions company, offering a range of services from commercial car park builds, to data cabling and electrical work. We worked together to produce a website, develop their brand and establish a style guide.
Brand Development
The brand development process began with a brand foundations worksheet and a call with the client to establish core values, ideal clients, competitor profiles and the positioning statement before moving on to the design phase.
ASB had a logo concept from a previous designer that they were pleased with, but it lacked variations and clean lines, causing issues with applying or scaling and scaling the logo. We made alternate logos and icons for different instances of use, such as email signatures, favicons, letterheads, and business cards, as well as light and dark versions. We chose one font for the typography which aided to create a modern, friendly and approachable aspect of the brand and leverage the colour palette - pulling blues from data cables, and greys from concrete and tarmac - to reflect the nature of the work they do.
You can see the full style guide below.
Website Design
The main goal of the website was to be functional, simple and modern, drive quote enquiries, explain the services on offer and of course, rank well in the search algorithm.
The process began by planning the site map and engaging an SEO content writer to aid the website's search engine performance with keyword-rich content. With the content in place, I then began sourcing imagery and conceptualising a 5-page prototype in Figma to be presented for design approval.
After optimising imagery, the WordPress build began, and responsive versions for iPad and mobile were made. ASB was then set up with a custom login and dashboard and provided with video tutorials for making changes in-house before the final tests were completed.
The project resulted in a 99% health score and ASB continues to see increased project enquiries.
